Teaching Philosophy
"All truths are easy to understand
once they are discovered; the point is to discover them." -Galileo Galilei |
Upon entering my classroom, my students will know their value and worth as human persons. By searching for the truth, the key characteristic of a liberal education, my students will use critical thinking skills to gain knowledge and understanding of materials in my classroom. With this, my students will not only gain knowledge in the subject of history, but they will also be well-equipped to make decisions and search for truth in the real world. My role is focused on providing a safe and welcoming learning environment where students are free to ask questions, giving instruction that is differentiated to fit multiple learning needs, and trying my best to give each student what he/she needs to succeed on a practical level.
